The situation with my car..... (paint/body work)

My car got rear ended, it busted my back bumper... so I figured why not go on and get it painted... so Im getting a kit put on, and getting my emblems, and trunk hole shaved...

Its in the shop now, I ordered a full Black Widow kit from VIS... I know everyone says OEM or RS.. but Im tired of the 'nearly' stock look-- to you guys its 'clean' but to people where I live, its 'not hooked up yet' and Im tired of the loser kids with a busted Street Fighter front on their civics getting credit for more 'work' on the car than mine... PLUS I really like the way the BW looks... ANYWAYYYYY....

My car is in the shop, I went and saw it yesterday, all the glass is taken about--- its all taken apart.. well today is the day we buy paint-- I had pretty much made my mind up that I wanted this clolor...

http://newbeetle.org/images/laautoshow/beetlesside.JPG

Its platinum silver metallic, off the 02 Turbo beetle.... what I am wondering is if anyone has any suggestions for a color before I buy that paint-- or should I go with that... I wont be getting the car painted again-- so I have to stick with the color I decide on... any help is welcome... oh and before anyone says it I do NOT want a stock prelude color... so no stock lude colors, and no comments about the BW kit-- Im sick of 'OEM' and 'JDM'...

Also-- I am really coinsidering getting my doors shaved... feedback?

Sucks that you got rear ended man.
I like the BW kit, it looks really nice and makes the car look "low profile" just watch out for speed bumps and all that fun stuff

That silver color would look pretty nice on your lude. I'm guessing you didn't trade for that 5speed. Personally if I ever got my lude painted, it would be a dark blue/silvery color. Good luck with the makeover!

If you get an all over paint job and change the color make sure they do a good job, under the hood door jambs and under deck lid.

Yea he took all the glass out, he is painting the jams and under the rear deck, and the trunk and all that.. just not the engine bay... the color is so dark, it'll match the black... pluss the CF hood will match if the bay is black.. and its saving me like 400$

I've always liked the yellow on the Type-R Integra's. If you're going to have a "rare" body kit, why not get a color that not many people have. (on any car) I wouldn't suggest Purple Passion or Mary Kay Pink, but you know what I mean. And I'd shave the back end and handles, I think that looks VERY clean!!

I was also thinking about getting my car painted new beetle gray sometime. Good choice! The other colors I can suggest (that I like) are new beetle "Vapor" and some purplish/supersonic blue/blue/electron blue (stupid description ) color that I saw on a Toyota Tacoma as a stock color. My friend's Lude is painted S2000 silver. I think its Silverstone Metallic. Anyway...it looks REALLY good. Hope that helped.
