Should I paint the stocks black or leave it silver?

Some of you know, I sold my rims.

I got the 5th gen base wheels on. Carbs everywhere, scuffed/scratched badly.
I don't expect much from stock base wheels anyway, but I want to at least
make it look better. I can careless, but I think this will hurt when I try
to sell my car pretty soon.

I thought painting it black would make it look better.

whats your opinion?

my ride is in my sig, gunmetal 5th gen.

^ yeah. I loved the way it looked, but I am getting a new car soon.
Im taking off all my parts..

anyway, as for sanding, I am not sure how it would possibly make the deep scuffs/scratches
look any better with plain 400grit sand paper... thats what people recommand.. but sigh.
I have no idea on that so far.
(anyone with know-how on this?)

I just want to decide whether I want to paint it silver or black for now.

paint them gunmetal maybe? I dunno how well black would go with your car. But you know what. It's very cheap to change the color

I have been getting alot of pm's about my wheels. I'm just gonna do a write up on how to do it sometime.

sean, when i painted my rims the primer and all the layers for the base coat covered most of the scrapes on my rims, but sanding would help to smoothen it out. i doubt the scrapes will show once you paint it.

i say just sand it down some to help smooth it out and make the paint stick. the paint needs that scruffed surface to really stick well. then primer and repaint silver. that should get rid of some of the scratches, and your base rims will look nicer, which is what you are going for because you are trying to sell your car. someone would probably rather buy your car with silver base rims than base rims painted any other color. by painting your base rims gunmetal or black you might be limiting your pool of potential buyers. so i say stick with silver. post up some pics of your current rims so we can see how bad they really are.

If you are planning to sell your car go with silver... painted rims or aftermarket wheels on a car>>> less value. I suggest you make it look as much stock as possible.

Let me know if you wanna sell your fogs when you part out your car...DIBS
