Deff. go with pspec, it took about 2 weeks to break it in but after that, 1st to 2nd has never been so easy to shift during a race. It just pops in.

Took me a couple of shifts to "break" it in. Now it's smooth like butter with a shorter throw. =] Go PSPEC!

http://www.pspectuning.com

I have it too... I like it! Its easy to install too. You can do it yourself.
Pros:
1) Shorter, Crip shifting
2) Easy install
3) Better looking
Cons:
1) Even though the throws are much shorter, its height is only an inch shorter than your stock shifter.
2) Its shift knob sucks... gets hot as hell if left under the sun.
3) The guy who makes these (Pete something)... its hard to get in touch with him. Everybody I know who has a PSPEC complains about how hard it is get this guy to answer you back. But once he does call you or email you back, hes very helpful.

If I wanted a new short shifter, I would wait for the 4Bidden too.

Brian,
I was able to cut up my stock shifter knob so that only the top leather part is left on it and was able to screw it on to my PSPEC shifter.

PSPEC ftw!

I love mine, but the installation is sorta far from easy. You have to remove the old lever from the shifter assembly which can take forever to get perfect.

well 4bidden has been taking pretty long to come out with his. And even pspec takes his time in shipping them they are still worth it imo. You could wait, but I'm happy with mine.

mmm?? I ordered mine last month, got a notification the next morning, and only waited for a week to get the whole package. It was very quick for me.

^ Your lucky, I orderd mine and didnt hear anything for weeks and that was after I emailed him asking what was going on. However I did finally get it after about a month. Well worth it though, its a very solid piece. I recommend it considering there just isnt another option for us right now.

PEOPLE,
talking about the pspec shifter... i bought a greddy (trust) shift knob, but even though the pspec shifter has the same thread measurements as the stock shifter, i cudnt fit the greddy shift knob on the pspec shifter, as it wouldnt go all the way down on the shifter, cuse the pspec leather boot was in the way. Has anybody else changed their shift knob on thier pspec? If so, please show me pics. Thanks!

Wich one you gonna get? I always thought that you could not fit any other knob on the pspec shifter.

The pspec shift lever's thread measurement is exactly the same as your stock shift lever's. So, thats not a problem. The problem is, the distance from the grooves on top your pspec shift lever to the top of the black leather boot is very small. So, there are only a few shift knobs that will actually screw all the way in. Read this...

So, Im looking to buy a new one. Plus, everything in my car is mostly black, so want a black knob. I guess, something like this will fit...
