Short Shift Adapter?

What's the difference between a short shifter and a short shift adapter? Don't you need the short shifter instead of the adapter? Someone is trying to sell me the adapter and I don't know much about this. He says that is all I need. Please let me know. Thanks.

i believe that there isnt a short shifter made for the preludes, and that the adapter is the only way u can shorten your throw. I'm pretty sure that this is correct.

I don't think there is a complete short shifter replacement avaible to us, thus various companies made adaptors to put on our stock shifters that supposedly shorten the throw of each shift but not the hieght of the shifter. To answer your question, the adaptor is all you need.

Next time please use the search. This topic has been discussed so many times. C's is the only and the best short shifter kit for the 5th gen. This is the complete stick. The adapters are POS. I know, cuz I have one. It's disapointing that my lude doesn't shift as nice as my integra, even though it's a higher model car. You can get on the groupbuy.
short shifter for the 5th gen (not adapter)
