Shop recommendation for Supercharger : )

Wut up!? My name is Ryan.

Got 99 Honda Prelude and look forward to install Supercharger on her.

I know that turbo would be better option, yet my lude has tiptronic; therefore, I will have to aim for supercharger.
I did some research and found out that 'Jackson racing' has the supercharger for 97~01 Prelude.

Can anyone recommend me reliable & trustworthy with fair price shops up in Nor Cal area? (Near San Jose or Near San Francisco area)

Also, I would appreciate it if someone who already have installed supercharger on prelude, give me some feedbacks & advises.
(Actually, doesn't have to be on prelude only. Any Honda & Acura owner's experience with supercharge kit would help me a lot.)

Thanks.
Peaceeee!

You really don't want to supercharge your car if you have a sh!tshift. Those transmissions frequently fall apart on 100% stock cars.

I'm with indy on this one.

It doesn't matter what mod you do, turbo or Supercharge. They are both forced induction designed to increase power and torque....and both will shorten the life of your weak transmission.

Spend your money on a swap, then modify the motor. Or sell the car and start over with another car that may have better properties for mods.

I agree Indy also, so what you want to do with the money you have for the supercharger is either
1) Do a transmission swap, then supercharge or
2) sell your automatic and buy a manual, then supercharge.

Save the supercharger and sell your Lude now while the tranny is still good and then buy a 5 speed to put your supercharger on.

Thank you all for replies.
Didn't know that puttin' on supercharger on automatic would be that bad.

So far I have never had any problem wit the transmission.
Would it still be bad if I re-build the tranny (maybe tune-up a little) before I put supercharger on?

Or...

Is it just bad idea to put supercharger?
I just wanted to put some more power (+ 100 hp) in "efficient way" since I thought that touching the intake and exhaust is only gonna give me + 10~30 hp.

Any comment would help me a lot.
Thank you all!

Your tranny cannot even handle the 150 hp your car has now. If you supercharge it you WILL blow your tranny and then you will wish you had been smart and purchased a prelude with a man pedal. Read my sig, my old auto lude getting smashed and totaled by a drunk driver was like hitting the lottery.
