I suggest to go koni yellows and be done with it. They rule and in my book are the best.

Well, coil over springs like Ground Control would be the best way to go as you can fully adjust them but will be a little more than lowering springs. It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to race your car or drag it or just cruise around town in it?

I have a few questions on this subject while you guys are talking about it... I am looking into getting tokico shocks and springs. it is a kit that will cost me just over 400 dollars. they are not the adjustable shocks though. I am wondering if they are good for the prelude... they're a 1.5 in. drop which is decent. I love racing and I will be doing it next summer for sure... would it be better to get shocks and ground control coilovers? i always thought springs were better for the ride. If I go with koni will those be bettter? what springs should i get with koni shocks? i dont wanna have a bad match between springs ans shocks. maybe someone could just tell me what they would do... thanks guys

You don't say what type of racing you want to do, so I'll assume autox. With that get the Ground Control and Koni setup. On the other hand open road and the ocassional track day-get Neuspeed Sport springs and Koni. Either way is really good with the Sport springs being a nice ride with some additional stiffness. The Ground Control setup uses linear rate springs and they will be stiffer than the progressive Sport. As others will also tell you-invest in the adjustable Koni shocks and never buy another set (they are rebuildable too).
Take a look at my setup page (hondaprelude.com)-My Lude sees the road and the track.

well so far the only racing i do is 1/4 mile drag racing. I dont do it a lot but i think the springs would be good enough cuz they are a better ride. Do you recommend a specific place to get the koni adjustables and neuspeed springs? do they come in a kit for a good price??

hery cuse,
im considerig the tokico set myself. heres some info i got from the rep
rates:330 ft, 180 rr; linear rate.
drops is 1.5, settles to 1.75.
this is from the rep at la autoshow
what someone can tell me is how much stiffer are the blues compared to stocks
I picked up a set of Neuspeed Sport Springs off groupbuycenter.com for $144 shipped. I think the vendor was Auto Image Enhancement (www.aieonline.com). Expect to pay alittle over $500 for a set of yellows

Well, if you are only dragging then springs and shocks arent that important. You just want something for the ride so you can really get whatever you want for the money. If you wanted to get into some real racing like autoxing or road racing, then I would say go for the adjustable setup, but if you are just cruising around town, hopefully not racing on the street, and draggin occasionally, then just get the tokico set.
