the boot is the same.. but the ring isn't. SH has circle ring and the Base has square ring.

Just making sure that you know the leather shift knob comes with a new boot...

I have an 01 ebp and i bought the SH nob and boot also (they come together). I bought the black w/black stiching tho. It is soo much nicer than that elephant nut they give u with the base model.

Actually i think that the normal shift knob from the prelude is better than the SH; the SH shift knob is hella tall and is exactly like the one in the Civic SI FYI if nobody noticed. The shift knob on the regular prelude fits right in ur hand; but that's my opinion but If ur sick of ur stock shift knob, i definitely reccomend you change it to any other one.

I chucked the stock knob after something like a week after I got my car. Waay too blocky and rubbery. Shift too hard and it'll chafe your palm... Got a SH knob and used it for a while. Now I use a JDM "tit" knob.

BTW, the SH knob is/was also used on the NSX. I'd say that's good company.
