S2k Throttle body.

What are the advantages of an S2K throttle body? Also, will a Prelude intake fit on it?

Just to let you know the S2k has been recalled all their TBs im still waiting on mine but for performance wise more torque thats about it... but if you wanna install it into your stock IM u have to relocate your IAC and collant hoses

Haven't heard about the recall nor do I know why, but...

The only advantage is size. It doesn't have the thermal valve on the bottom but it does still have the coolant stubs.

Cons are that it does not have an idle adjust screw (may be bad in some applications), doesn't have the EVAP nipple (may cause problems with the EVAP system), and the TPS connector points the wrong direction. I haven't seen the latter be an issue yet, but I think in some instances the OEM wiring may not be long enough to make the funky angle.

A Prelude intake will fit.

How much bigger is it over a prelude? Marcucci, do you know if the bolt pattern is the same for each of the TB's?

The bolt pattern is the same for all EFI Hondas EVER AFAIK.

IIRC it's a 60 or 62. Search the board, it's on here somewhere. Also, IIRC the S2k, Euro R, Type R, and Type S all are the same size.

A Prelude intake will fit.

As far as the EVAP is concerned, if you hook up to one of the extra, unused nipples on the stock IM (make a step-down adapter to fit) the thing works just fine.

With the stock ECU or a fully programmable EMS, the idle screw missing doesn't matter as long as the IACV is functional.
PS: the stock TPS connector has enough wire to work with the stock and the Euro-R manifolds.
