RS*R Exhaust

I heard a rumor that there is an "original" RS*R exhaust that's slightly different from the current RS*R Exmag currently offered. The "original" RS*R is full stainless and might be called "Magnum" not sure.. The rumor continues that the current RS*R died out for a while and stopped making exhaust. Then a few years back, another company (can't remember name) was contracted to make "RS*R" exhausts, which are the ExMags.

Just curious if anyone else has heard this or know if this is fact or fiction. Thanks

I have one of the originals... the muffler is full stainless (as opposed to the new ones that are black).

Not sure but I thought the designs for RS*R's were made by invidia for a while, then rsr came back into america and started selling genuine stuff again. Not quite sure...

well i know the original RSR that the 4th gens got is all stainless. the admin of Superhonda.com has one.

as far as i know for the 5th gens all i've known about are the black bodied ones with just the tip being stainless. but i could be wrong. i don't think they offered a 5th gen version when they were coming out all stainless. someone post a pic from a 5th gen with an acutal 5th gen version and prove me wrong.

Both of you are wrong.

We would like to make it absolutely clear that RS-R Japan does not manufacture Invidia exhaust systems and RS-R USA does not distribute Invidia products.
And here's the link to it. Here

The Ex-Mag is a lower quality Stainless than on some systems. It IS fully stainless, though, with a spray of Ceramic coat for longevity.

I've got one and love it!

while i think the black one looks quite nice, especially how the tip is fully centered and straight from the muffler.. the stainless one is very nice up close. and as i walk to my car and see it's yellow blinging ass under my bumper, makes me feel good haha. dam exhaust leak is killing me htough

where do i get a proper flange gasket for the rs*r?
