my reciently purchased 97 base turns 3300 rpm's at 60 mph in 5th gear,
is this with in specs??

It's a bit high i think. There's a couple threads on here that cover the rpm/gear/mph.

Ehh that sounds about right to me.going 70mph in 5th is about 3700-3800 for me.80mph is about 4000-4100 I believe.may be wrong though.my lude doesn't touch the highway very much.usually when I'm on the highway its because I'm going to Indylude18's house to help him with a project(or him helping me lol)
