Rota SlipStreams.

Has anyone heard about these brands ?
They are made in the phillipines.

Their specs are as followed:-
Size: 15x6.5
Offset: +40
Weight: 11.8lbs

I'm currently shopping for a 15"rims for tracks.
Another rims I might consider would be the Kosei K1.

Anyways, who has these Rota's ? Are they reliable in terms of quality ? Will the above-mentioned specs fit our 5th Gen Lude ?

What type of Tires specs would go with those, if they fit ?

I've only look at James' pricing..
Quoting GB centre pricing.
CDN$720 shipped (to 48 States) for 15"
and CDN$800 shipped for 16"..

I got em and the quality is very good and I got mine in +45 offset too.

Mach III www.machiii.net in SF has them for $500 shipped for the 16's and I THINK their 15's were $400 or so.

Now as far as running the +40 offset shouldn't be a prob as long as your tires aren't too wide. You should be able to use a 195/55/15 maybe even a 205/50/15 for a lttle better contact patch.

I'm by no means an expert (especially with 15's) but I'm running 215/45/16 on a 2.5 in drop and I have NO rubbing at all.

The Kumhos are real cheap, you get what you pay for. A budy of mine put them on his BMW (18's) and they did not even last him a year and this was with NO track use. I just put on Sumitomo HTRZ II's and so far I like them, only $94 a piece from tirerack for my 17's.

i have the slips in 16's and they are a very nice rim. at first when i got them they felt so light i thought they would bend and what not but i have smashed plenty of pennsylvania potholes and to no ill effect. for 500 bucks you really cant beat it at all. and like someone before said mach3 in san fran is a good place to get them. its actually the only place i found that had the ludes bolt pattern in stock. i got 16x7 with a 45mm offset and i should have no problem with clearence when i put the camber kit on. heres some pics

I really like the look of slipstreams, but for some reason the black looks like it is too dark for me. It looks like you are riding on steelies. This is not in any way a flame. Like i said i REALLY like slipstreams. And i myself have a set of Kosei K1's in really dark Gunmetal. Thinking about it now, id get the Slipstreams in bronze or Gunmetal, I might do this...hahahaa

TRITONLUDE, ILIKENAKEDGIRLS and JDM H22A4 should all take a picture together, that would look so sweet.

They look awesome on black, white and red ludes but for some reason I don't like em' on the EBP Ludes. I actually think the stocks look pretty damn good on the EBP's...
