rota slipstream owners

I 'm going to be getting some 16x7's soon and I was wondering if I can squeeze on some 225/40/16. If so what would be the best offset to go with lowered on H&R sports. If I have to go with 215/40/16 what would be the best offset with the smaller tires. I'm also considering Falken Azenis, would you recommend anything else? Thanks...

If going with smaller tires I'd get the 215/45. That should be pretty close to stock. I wouldn't try to put 225 on a 7" rim, it should fit but I just wouldn't do it. If you have an SS, I'd avoid a larger diameter tire, our launch is bad enough. I'm look at the same wheels and if you want good tires I'd get S-03's in stock size.

Get the highest offset available for the slipstreams (+45). I would also say that 225's are a tad wide for a 7" rim, but not by much. It would work, but I'm not sure how much of an advantage in contact patch you'd gain from it.

I'm currently using the stock size tires on my 16x7 slipstreams, +45 offset, also dropped on H&R sports. No rubbing, obviously, but there very well could be with, say, +40 & a 215 width tire - especially a tire that's noted for big square shoulders like the Falken's are.

Falken Azenis do NOT come in 225 width. If you want to go with Azenis, the 215/45/16 are the size you need to look at.

so would 16" rim, 45 offset, 225/40/16 rub with H+R sports on a 7.5 inch rim? would you have to go with 215's? what if the rim is 17"?

Thanks for the input. Would I definately be able to fit a +45 offset and 215/45/16's. Will that have the wheel out a little more and the tire flush with the fender?
