Yes it is possible:

I vaguely rember doing it this way:

Get inside car, look up at moonroof.
There should be some black covers over the rails that have two little black covers. These black covers are hiding two screws.
Remove the blac covers, and then remove the two scrwews.
Slide the long black cover on each side forward or backward to remove it.
There should be a total of 8 bolts holding the glass to metal rails. Remove those bolts.
Open moonroof and remove glass being careful to keep the metal shims in sight.

Reinstall is reverse. Let me know if you have any questions.

Mine fell in between the seat and the console so I had to dig a little bit to find them.

did this tonight.. simple . was hard to line up the shims for reinstall though..

one question.. why did each corner have a different amount of shims? the passenger side has 2 shims per corner, and the drivers side had 1 shim in front, and 2 in the back corner...

weird.

Shims are the only way to adjust the opening height. They have to use shims to make sure it closes properly from the factory. Any slight discrepancy in the construction will throw it out of wack & every car is slightly different.

So this WAS easy to do? I have heard and read that it is a PAIN IN THE A** and will take 8+ hrs to do. Did you have to drop the headliner?
