oh I'm definitely never going back to that dealership! Already have two options for the programming of the immobilizer, so I should be good. Removing the door panel should be in the FAQ I assume?

if not you can go to h and a website and download instructions for the carbon fiber trim.

The fun keeps on coming! Got car towed to other dealership, left new cut key and red key, left with a smile on my face. Call back today; "immobilizer defective, new immobilizer $500"

Anyone want a Prelude? As-is

whats involved in replacing immobilizer? immobilizer + ecu? is base vs. sh ecu different? i have a wreck sh with all that crap in it.

I can tell you this much...
Was having an issue with my 97 base so we swapped in the ecu from my brothers 97 base, had a T5 key cut to match mine but the code copied from his and it didn't work. So yes you'd have to swap both the immob and the ecu, but do you have a key for the sh ecu?

yea, i have 1 key, and the car. don't know if he just needs the immob and key or also the ecu. when i did a jdm swap my car started fine when i had the type s ecu in it.
