Rear wheel drive conversion

ok i wanna do the unthinkable. i wanna make my fifth gen rwd. ive been doin some research and i found one person who used a cr-v transmission but i thought tht would make it 4wd?? i was thinking of turning the motor sideways and usisng an S2000 tranny and rear end, just havent figured out where to put the motor mounts yet.. any thoughts on how to make my lude rwd will be a help.

i know which guy your talking about that lude was featured in super street july this year but the conversion is so much work not to mention losing the use of your back seat that it would be easier to just buy his lol i think hes still selling it on ebay for like 10 or 11 g's
and puting the engine the bay vertically is going to be a massive feat of fabrication

Not all CR-Vs come in 4WD.

Do you have $20,000 burning a hole in your pocket?

the rwd 4th gen that was for sale on this forum was going for like 30k.

Not worth it just to be unique.

Yeah not really worth it IMO

If you have the money to blow on it then just buy a rwd car

It's already been done so you wouldn't be the first.. You could buy an s2k (rwd) and boost your lude for the price it would probably cost you to do the conversion

It's a cool idea that many many people have THOUGHT about but it just isn't worth it

Invest in a IS350... really no point in spending so much just to do RWD.
