I don't think so, everything I've seen is stripped.

Oh ok, stripped rears are so crappy looking. I never ever use the rears for anything, maybe I should make bins or something, like the FC?

I'm making one to house a PC and other stuff. Here's pics of a plastic proto-type:

Here's the front panel that is (not shown) in the above pics.

I'll make the final version using honeycomb aluminum. It will be carpeted/upholstered, etc.

Should I post the drawings when I am done so you can make something similar?

That's pretty cool, but what would be better, is the process of doing it, and getting to that stage, so I could do my own designs instead. I don't really know where to start with this type of thing.

How much weight does removing the rear seat save?

The enclosure itself is not intricate. Its just a box, basically. A simple cabinet with a removable top and one shelf inside. To build your own, just make some sketches, then get some cardboard or foamcore and duct tape and build a few models to see how it looks in the car. Next, build another model with wood, etc, something easy to work, keep at it until you've something you like.

The computer part, and deciding exactly what I want to do with it, has been the more difficult part.

There's a write up for removing the rear seats. When I had my interior stripped I thought about not putting my rear seats back in. I would just take out your rear seats and lay down some carpeting. I think you could make it look pretty decent

To put something else in there. Audio. Computer. Small garden.

I wouldn't remove them just to save weight on a street car, or even an autoX car that runs in one of the stock classes.

I agree ^. I just temporarily removed my back seat to install a sub and was amazed at how light it is! I can't imagine it making any difference in handling whatsoever.

because real racers take out only the rear seat.

Chris from the OHPOC did his in carpet. it looks so friggin awesome....plus it makes the car what we all really wanted in it to begin with....a 2 seater, not a 2+2
