I thought since you had a decently modded prelude I'd lay off of you, but after reading this thread, I have lost all respect for you. Do you have any idea how much I spent on parts on my car? Do you see me bragging? I HATE people who brag on how much money they spent on something. If it's really that rare or if it's a quality piece then it will speak for itself. I do however, think you're an idiot for spending money on such minor pieces. I have a set of black with red stitching spoon reservoir covers for $425, you want those?
I would've not even mentioned the auction, took a picture of them installed and posted a "Look what I just bought" thread without mentioning any dollar figures.
One more thing, for the record. Your car will speak for itself, no need in trying to impress people by advertising how "badass" it is. There have been quite a few cars on this forum that were much nicer than yours. Do a search on Ludetech, he'll show you who's boss.

If you lost all respect for me, then I've lost all respect for you who should be able to comprehend the things I've said. Since when was I bragging about them? The thread started because I wanted to see if it was anybody on here who was bidding against me. I'm going to post the price because it would've been known anyway the second I posted the link to the ebay page showing them. Why not be up front about it?
And it is still transforming and changing anyway, whatever I don't have now I'll have soon. As you can see the thread in members ride starts from the beginning and gives up to day info on the build. It's not a finished product and I say that many times throughout.
Besides, you pour out lots of money for the little stuff too, so that's like the pot calling the kettle black.
For those of you who think I'm on some kind of high horse, look at yourselves. If you don't like my car and the experiences I gave on it to help out those who want to do the same thing, then stop reading it.
"Years later prepreludesh will commence the world-wide revolution of anti-stupid-useless-sheit-buyers; he will rule with an iron fist, and will terrorize the world with his stockpile of awesomely rare but useless random prelude parts.
I will let you be one of my henchmen when this time comes?
I will only be able to pay you in stockpiles of awesome JDM door sills though, which I will either open a factory to reproduce them or have the henchmen hunt down everyone who has them and steal them.
And they will be converted into something useful so that people can no longer say they're useless. Some of their many uses could include...
Ski's
Swords (by sharpening the ends)
Baseboards (so your house can be decorated like your car)
umm... did I say swords already?
Maybe I can use the swords on the haters of this thread
620 bucks down the drain.....I mean I don’t blame you I would buy them but not for 620 dollars.
Im speech less and I doubt you started this thread to try and find someone that tried to out bid you, because nobody on this site is dumb enough to waste that much money on door sills.
So take your head and your priceless JDM sills out of your butt and get over yourself.
I am pretty satisfied with the current horsepower I have. So why not go on finishing the interior? It's something I get almost the same amount of compliments about compared with the rest of the car. And these items come along once in a blue moon so I was really set on picking them up. Most aftermarket parts are available whenever, so my motto has always been to snatch up the hard to come by ones first and put the rest on the backburner.
I figured it was just common sense until I got jumped on for posting this thread.
On the plus side, it's probably gonna hit 2,000 views tomorrow. That's ridiculous for a forum that started soley because I wanted to find out who bid against me.
well im only 17 and so i cant be throwing that kinda money around, it took me a about 3 months to save up for my new motor and all last year to complete my build. if i had 600 bucks right now it would go toward my new ecu and not my interior.
Hey I understand man. When I was 19 or 20 I really got into cars. At first I jumped on board to the sound system thing and wanted to make it really nice, then as I started to research more and more info on it, I stumbled across the import car magazine section at barnes and noble and it just turned into a fascination ever since.
You can see my first car was my 1991 Honda Accord and when I wrecked it, I moved over all the good stuff on my 2nd 1991 Honda Accord. I put those pictures up in my member's ride thread. I really loved that thing and I think towards the end I put $6,000 into it. It had a good balance of parts, although none were really top of the line and after all, it was just a CB7 platform to begin with.
But with the Prelude I started small and just wanted to do the engine. I was literally leaving the hood up in the parking lot of my first apartment longer than it needed to be because i wanted to show off the parts I put on it. Then I decided that the only way to get people to ask about the car was to start modding the first thing everyone sees, the exterior, and I went from there. When I knew the exterior was looking good and my motor was coming along, i put more thought into the interior as well because those that casually walk by your car will notice both the exterior and interior and then if you're around, inquire about the engine.
So you're probably going down the same path I did. I didn't always have money to do the things I wanted to do and I sat around daydreaming of parts all the time. Plus the best thing I have going for me was the fact that I was single and went to Iraq so I literally had no living expenses, rent, bills, taxes or anything for 14 months. It let me really have a go at building the car up the way I wanted. Now I'm happy to say I just got engaged (on November 7th) but it's bad because my free and easy days of parts buying is over. Now the woman in my life might have a bit more say to what I buy and what I don't buy
If that happens, you can all say you won and I will resign much coveteted title of "the best prelude in the world"
give me another year or two and ill give you a run for your money, my best friend had a boosted hatch and he got me into this, and i just enjoy working on my car with my friends and teaching myself. i know what you mean though, i dream everyday about droppin a sexy 70mm turbo on it or buyin my buddies jackon racing supercharger. but im hoping to get a swim scolarship and dont have time for a job so my progress is slow and steady.
Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age, but I've actually begun to feel some sympathy (or is it pitty?) for you. You just want to be welcomed to the community, only to have everyone laugh at your ridiculously absurd attempts to impress.
There is a limit to the amount of torment I can dish.
