Random flashing lights ? anyone? lol

Hey guys,

Today i full throttled my car and since then, i noticed something weird. First, went back home for like an hour ... then got back in my car, i noticed the fan blower was still turning (lol?) there was no key inside ... i dont have any remote or anything. Then while driving it, i noticed the stock cd radio's light was flashing like randomly ....

Then at night, i went back home. By turning the lights switch once , the light codes would randomly flash like for no reason. (car off)

The battery light, ATTS light , abs light , engine code light , ect ... even on second switch for the lights it does that but when the car starts , everything seems fine.

Then now, even the car is off , my heat setting switches would light up (the switch you select to activate whichever fan to blow)

and when the car is turned off but the lights are turned on, i can hear ticks.

Thank you for your time. Already tried searching...... is this a sign of changing battery?

Maybe the ignition switch? None of the electronics except the headlights and the horn should work without the ignition in the "on" position. Do the windshield wipers and radio work with the key out to?

^Highly unlikely, but it is free service at most auto parts places to get batteries tested. It can't hurt to get it checked if you think that is the problem.

Sounds like something shorting out right at the key cylinder in the column or in the same circuit. Your car thinks it's in the "on" or "accessory" position when the key isn't even in it.
