Ok, i hate the way my radar detector has that long ass ugly cord going down my dash and into my ciggarete lighter. does anyone know how to wire this into my car so i dont have to plug it into my ciggarette lighter every time i want to use it? i figured i would just drill a small enough hole to run the wire right through the dash, then take my cd player out and wire it in with whatever wires i need too. has anyone done this? somebody out there has to be eperienced in car electronics enough to know how to do this. i know it can be done. also, if u know how to do this, please include on what wires i will need and stuff (fuses, etc.) do i have to buy a new wire to run out of the radar detector or can i just splice the wires on the cord that plugs into the ciggarette lighter? please help, i hate the way my radar looks, but i need it so bad!

yea you can go to best buy they have them there, they also install them for you. Or you can just buy a new wireless radar detector.
