Quick question on exhaust & piping in 5th gens...

You guys can check out the work that I have done right now in my signature. Any way. I'm getting a totally different rear bodykit and I am going to have to move my current dual exhaust setup. Now my question is this - I have the DC Sports Ceramic header going into stock cat and then stock resonator with stock piping size pretty much until it hits the muffler. Should I upgrade the piping at all to a larger size, should I take out the resonator or the cat or switch to a high flow cat or should I keep all that stuff in there and keep stock piping all the way to the exhaust?

~Alex

P.S. I might be putting in new cams during the summer if that matters?!

you should defenetly get the new 2.5 inch piping cat back. Then sice youhave a dual muffler set up. Lower the piping when you do the Y pipe set up. Dont remove the cat, cuase then you wont pass inspection.

The way that I have the piping done now is that 90% of the exhaust goes down the right side so that I don't lose back pressure, but I think that's a good idea to make the piping 2.5" all the way back. I want to have both of my dual exhaust come out the middle under the plate. Either that or on both sides like I have it now. I'm trying to choose which i like more. Right now the two Tanabe Medallion coming out of the center seems like a phat idea.

From my stock cat i have 2.5 pipe running to my muffler. the resonator is taken out , i wish i would have kept it in or got a catback. Taking the resonnator out with an aftermarket muffler is VERY loud and raspy. I think it sounds about like a dead cow.
