Question on wheel width

I'm offered a set of rims...but the tire width is 235. i have ground controls and have lowered about 2 ". will it rub?

Do you have any more information on the wheels the tires are mounted on? Wheel width? Offset?

5x114.3 with offset of +38. They are on Pirelli P7000 Supersports in 235/40/18

FORGET IT!
The offset should be greater than +42 and the tires are actually too wide for a Prelude in lowered trim

Yeah, that offest is going to leave the rim sitting far too outside of the fender to clear. Most likely those wheels were meant for a larger car with bigger flares. The tires aren't a problem, I've got 235 width tires on my Rotas, just need to find the right offset to fit them.
