question on type S intake

is there a lot of gains from this? and what are the differences? bigger piping? sound?

might find it a tiny bit more responsive..but id say no gains...

I second that. I noticed it being a little raspier, but not much. The major difference I see is that it feels faster in parking lots (i.e. more responsive low end).

Where can I get that intake? I don't find it listed at R&D Motorsports webpage. I always assume if it's not listed, it often cost a bit more to obtain.

I want to know too.....where can I get a Type S intake and will it just bolt on to my 2001 base model ??

I got mine from http://www.aj-racing.com for about $150. It takes about 10 minutes to install and replaces just the top half (after filter) of the USDM intake. You still use your old filter.
