hey my car now has 2,500 and ive been racing alot starting from 800 miles...Im juss wondering if this is really bad for my car, and also my car is a 2001 type sh, will racing alot from the past mess my car up, or is it ok? thanks
You started racing at 800 miles? There's a break-in period for your car my friend. It's usually the first 3K to 5K miles. Your brakes have a break-in period too. Breaking in your car allows rings, etc. to set in right. Oh well.
stop making the poor guy feel bad, for a fact ur manual says break in is at 600, though i wouldn't start getting on it til 1k. Change ur oil at 1k, you must be kidding right?? New ludes have a special kinda oil from honda especially for the break in period, it was recommended to leave in there for 7500 (correct me if i am wrong.) Though I changed mine at 3k.

i remember your previous post dude! you raced way earlier than the recommended break in period. i know people have been giving you grief, but man be more responsible with your car it's a big investment!

The worst scenario would be that your rings may not be seated properly and some engine components may suffer from premature metal fatigue. However, none of these will show any symptoms until the car is aged. You might just wanna keep racing hard (I mean real hard) and hope everything would break before the warranty expires so you can get a free new motor or something.
that doesnt really have much to do with it. stereotyping..
but ya, just drive your car like you want and be UP TO DATE and ON TIME with your maintenance schedule.
oh.. come on.. does it REALLY matter to you? Just answer his question..
I answered his question, read up. In a way it does matter, more likely than not (I know there are exceptions, Zmonkey loves his car,) someone who has earned that car, will respect it and care about it much more. Not racing it at 200 miles!
