Question about coil-overs + camber kit + allingment...need help ASAP

Ok, well I just put in Ingalls Camber kits on my car. Part #3558 for the front and #3573 for the rear. The kits were installed and the car allinged. Well after they were installed, it seems to me that the car is higher up than it was. The space between the tires and the fenders is a little bigger - could this be or is it just me? It seems especially in the front. The car was allinged perfectly and the camber was set - (-.4 for the rear | and -.3 for the front).

Anyways, I lowered my car in the front while it was getting allinged because it seemed too high for me. Well its weird because the coil-overs are set evenly, but the left front is about 1/2 inch closer to the fender than the right front. I always had a little difference between the two fronts. The left was always lower if the coilovers were set the same. Not that much, but enough to notice. Well my question is this... is it alright that the left front is lower than the right front? The allingment is fine, the car doesn't pull to either side or anything, but I'm worried that it might mess something up in the suspension if its un-even.

So the main questions are: is it alright if the car is uneven in the front and does installing camber kits raise the car because of the new bolts and ball-joints?

~Alex

P.S. Sorry for the long + complex post, but I need help. Please reply.

the car's weight isn't evenly distributed, so that might be why one side sits higher, camber kits won't raise your car or anything.

blacklude, how low is your car? and do you have any problems with the camber kit scratching the top fender? I'm thinking about getting either the progress or ingalls but leaning toward the progress since my car is lowered more than 2 inches, I have about a finger gap on each side.

Well my car is lowered around 2 and maybe 2 1/2 all around. So far I haven't driven around enough to find out if the camber kits are hitting the fenders. I mean if they hit, they're probably gonna dent, so nothing yet. Now what should I do about the weight distribution - should I just adjust my front suspension to equal it out and have the guy re-alling it. Should I do it ASAP or should I drive around for a while and do it later?

let the springs settle, then adjust it.

I have coil-overs. They have been on my car for a while and they're settled pretty good. I didn't just install those. The camber kits are new. Should I still wait a few weeks and have them settle in some more and then adjust?

if you're sure the springs have settled, then you can go ahead and make your adjustments

how long have you had the springs? it takes like months sometimes. My friends civic took 6 months to settle... now it rubs like crazy and he can't do much about it becuz they're not adjustable.

anywho. Blacklude... my car does the same thing... except not as much. When you say uneven, how much do you mean uneven? Do you mean like one thread uneven? half a thread uneven? I know on my car I just set them close to one another... roughly +/- 1 threads height.

Lol. Why is everybody concerned with my springs? Hehe. The coil-overs I have have settled for a year now. They're pretty much done. I doubt they'll move anywhere anymore. Regarding the threads - maybe like 3-4 un-even. I mean my car was in an accident a while back and that may be the cause of the fact that its uneven, but also the coil-overs have a rubber little protector on top of the spring. On my right that rubber thingy is intact, on the left is got torn for some odd reason, so that could be it too. I'm gonna ride out my car like this for a little bit - maybe a week or two, but if it starts irritating me, then I'll adjust the left front, raise it and lower the right front to equal them out.

so to be more in specific, how many finger do you have between the fender and wheel, since I have no perception of how 2 inches is? I have heard too many war stories about the ingalls rubbing agaisnt the fender.
