Question about the battery

Hey there, I was installing a kit for a car amplifier on my 98 prelude, and i don't think i am getting any power from the battery to the amp. Is there any specific about this car when installing an amp? This amp should turn on even if the only things connected are the power and ground, and there is nothing happening right now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Did you connect the remote wire? It is the wire that tells the amp to turn on. You need 3 wires: Power, Ground, and Remote. If so check to see that the fuse for the power wire is nice and snug.

all you need is this.

black wire: bolt to the body somewhere, may need to scrape off some paint for better connection.

red wire: right to positive batt terminal, make sure there is a fuse inline close to the batt.

REMOTE WIRE: this is the wire that tells the amp tp turn on, it goes to the "ACC/auto antenna" line coming out the back of your deck (if its after market). for a stock honda deck I have no idea, I tossed that POS right after I bought the car.
