Question about 98vtec's dyno test.....

I've been reading about 98vtec's intake dyno test recently and was impressed by what the results revealed. One question I have however, is what the setup of the "stock" car was. By stock, was it a stock intake with the factory filter and the resonator in place? Or was it merely the stock intake with a different filter and the resonator removed. I'm curious, because I already have the resonator removed from my 99, and just added a K&N drop in filter. I like the looks of the Type-S intake, but as you know, it's pricey. With my current setup, is it worth it to spend the money and get the Type-S, or am I already maxed out for intake gains? Thanks-

IIRC the resonator was removed. It's a long time since I read that article, but I'm pretty sure that's what he said.

it was just the stock intake arm and stock airbox with a stock filter. Everything else was removed.
