There are tons of H22 engines out there and they are all about $3,000. That is cheaper than redoing the exterior of a wrecked car.
It will be very tough to get a car straight that has been crashed!!
Honda engines are bullet proof and to find a car with a blown motor will not be easy.

i would be careful buying cars from auctions in houston. do you have your license yet? i think in some places you have to have an auctioners license. one of my fraternity brothers bought a 98 z-71 for 5,000...after about 3-4,000 in work it looks like brand new. a $30,000 truck for a little under $10,000?? sounds good to me

just be careful..ive heard horror stories from auctions in h-town bu ive also seen friends come out of their buying great condition ta's for about 8,000

so be careful
and definitely get a 5-spd you get used to houston traffic real quick? where in h-town are you at anyways?
