Q: Weird loud noise when backing up.

I recently notice that my car's been making weird loud noise in the rear wheel when backing up. Could that be my brakes? My car has 75K on it and brakes has not been changed. Does that happen to any of you?

its probably your brakes. i had the same problem last month. whenever i would reverse there would be this really loud squeeling sound from the back wheel. I took off the pad and found that it was the metal clip on the pad which extends a little bit down into the pad area. i replaced my brakes and the sound is gone

It's the exact same noise as OoAndyoO described. I thinks its my brakes too, just wanted to make sure. BTW: my BRAKE light keeps coming on whenever the weather is cold, is there a way to fit that? thanks guys
