^^ why take it out when u use the usdm switch holder??? there's a switch compartment below the three (cruise, dimmer, sunroof) where the usdm switch goes and im wondering if the jdm switch will fit there so i dont have to take out any of those three switches. why must i "take out the dimmer switch preferably??"

The JDM switch will not fit the USDM switch location. The USDM switch is stubbier than the JDM switch.

You can choose whichever button to replace but most people tend to use the sunroof and cruise control buttons the most. Hence why Keith said to replace the dimmer switch. Personally, I don't even touch the cruise control button and so I could replace either hte cruise or dimmer. Since my friends love using the cruise on my car, I chose to replace the dimmer. So its pretty much your own preference.

lol, get the jdm switch holder if you can for 30 dollars.... there is absolutely NO use for that pocket in the USDM switch holder.... anything you put in there will fly out and hit you when you brake hard

^^same, the jdm switch won't fit nicely so i use the usdm switch that goes where the pocket used to be. if you go this route you'll have an extra foglight switch laying around (the jdm one)

Ok so i just got the JDM foglight kit came with switch and harness. I don't have the usdm foglight bezel but am willing to buy. I see that i can't use the JDM switch with the USDM bezel. Can i use the USDM switch with the JDM wiring harness? or when i goto honda do i need the USDM bezel, Switch, AND harness?

Here's a write up for converting the JDM harness to fit the USDM switch. Basically you have to swap two wires and shave down a notch. So yea, the wiring should be identical with the minor swap.

thats a nice write up but the downside is that the light to indicate wether the actual fogs are on or not doesn't work properly... i really don't like settlin for jimmy rigged. after that i'm guessing that i have to buy the usdm harness too?

You could always just test the wires to figure out which one supplies the power to the light in the switch, and wire that to your accessory or interior lights to that it lights up when those are on.

i thought about buying the usdm harness too but the $50 isn't worth it, the fogs itself already cost a grip
