Retro-fits are real HID projectors and these are fake and should not be used with HIDs. I've seen these on just one other Lude and it was white. They don't look half bad but I'd save your money for the real thing

Those are eBay Halogen Projectors. You CAN put HID's in them and they are an improvement over the glare of an OEM headlamp housing but they are no where as good as retrofitted projectors. In my opinion, they look really ricer and I've been told they leak very easily and you'll notice condensation.

I have them on my lude. PO installed them. They do have the HID kit installed in them and when looking at it, it looks good. But behind the wheel it's terrible. They shine crooked and what seems to be everywhere but the road. I've used the adjustment on the projector light and it still shines everywhere. Hard to explain but its like the light doesn't shine at an even level. For example when pulled up and shining on my garage it shines across from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. Not side to side. The HID bulb can only go in one way so my guess is it's a faulty set of lights or the HID bulb is crooked. I have considered going back to stock because at night it shines everywhere but where I need it to.
I think most projectors are like that due to government laws for road safety. Light output has to be a minimum 30 feet in front of you and it is slightly tilted to the right so it doesn't blind the cars in front of you in the opposite lane, thus why there is an uneven cut off line. It's deliberate.
Hmm that is weird. But mine shine the signs on the highway that are above you when you pass on the opposite side of the highway. They are adjusted as far down as they will go. They only shine about 3 feet in front of my car but 100ft to the sides. Something isn't right I just don't know what.
lol wow thats a lot of feed back on just some lights but it helped me make up my mind. im gonna go with the depos and tsx retrofit instead of these headlights haha. i think that itll look more clean. i wonder how much the retrofit is gonna cost though???
Ask Brian aka Prelude1897. He posted in here and he did my retrofits
