Problems with stock 5th gen climate controls

Hey guys I have my climate controls not working properly ... My ac and heat bar works fine but the buttons that control the vents ( ie defrost or foot / front vent ) will not respond. The lights work and switch when pressed but they do not change over... Any help would be appreciated

I believe the 5G uses an electric motor change the directional controls in the main HVAC unit.

First thing I would check is that the control unit is putting out the proper signals, which it more than likely is.

After that, I would guess the electric motor itself is toast (most likely). #5 on this page. You'll probably have to pull the dash to get to it.

Naw, you won't have to pull the dash out, but you'll definitely need to shrink your hands to get to the screws for that motor Control. I actually have one of those sitting at my shop
