Problem w/ HeadlightS

5th Gen Luders,

I need ur help and some advice.

I was replacing my headlights w/some after-mkt superwhites, but for some reason after I was done both lights wouldn't light up?
Here's some things I could think of that's gone wrong:

Loose connection
Too much electrical grease I put on the metal contact parts
blown fuse

I tend to think it's the fuses, and here's where I need ur help.

Which fuse(S) could it be. Where should I check? Pls help

Pls feel free to offer up any other suggestions

BTW- I checked the headlights, and they're in proper working condition, so that's not it for sure...

Have you put your stock bulbs back in? If they work then it is not a fuse problem. What brand of lights are they? Check that then go from there.

Yup, done that too!
That's why I think it's the fuse.
What about too much lubrication, could that prevent electrical contact in any way?

Check your fuse box under the hood, on the passenger side located near the firewall.

On top of the fuse box cover, will show you which fuses do what.

Yeah I looked at that, and also the fuse panel next to the clutch and dead pedal. That's why I'm confused to which one it is..

That's why I said the ones for the headlights are located in the fuse panel under the hood, not the one inside. The two fuses are on the very right of the box, if you are looking at it fron the front of the car. It says on the fuse box diagram.

a rough diagram.
* * * * * *
* * * * 1 2

fuses 1 and 2 are the farthest on the right, 2nd row, 20amperage.

"fix" a fuse? go to honda?? all u gota do is go take out the blown one, go to radio shack or somthing, ask for the same fuse, and replace it back into ur lude!

by the way, where do u guys get those electrical grease stuff anyways? playing around with ur car makes them go away over time. and u said something about the grease hardening?

NG Luder,

Any auto parts store (Pep Boys, Auto Zone, etc...) will have it. It's usually located in the electrical section.

Update - thanks for the tips ppl! Problem's been fixed.

Bought the 20 amp fuses and replaced them even though the old ones weren't blown, and also a new pair of Philips yellow H1's. I don't know which solved the problem but at least I can see in the dark now!
