Problem with a cold start

OK I am going to try to describe this as best I can. This problem started happening right when winter started. Each morning when I go outside and start the car on a cold start, it'll turn over but when it comes back down to idle it appears to stall out(best term I can think of), or struggles to stay turned over if you will. The mechanic at the honda dealership I work at gave me a test to do on the car. What he had me do was turn the key to the arm position, count to 10, turn the key off, then turn the car on. After doing that it started up just fine, no issues whatsoever. He told me that it sounds like a fuel pressure regulator issue. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered something similar to this.

I have not, but atleast you found the problem, that makes sense though, if the fuel pressure regulator diaphram is leaky, then as your car sits you will lose fuel pressure. When you arm the key for awhile, the fuel pump comes on and replenishes pressure. But the only thing is the fuel pump only runs for like 3 seconds, and you were told to wait like a 10 count. And what I am describing would happen any time of the year not just winter, oh well.

I'm sure it'll happen when the weather warms up. I was just saying that it was convenient that it started happening right when the weather got cold. I've only counted to 5 before and its started up just fine. Like I said I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.
