^^I ****ing hate you guys^^ Damn I want some of those!

OP--The red carpeting was available only in the Prelude SiR model in Japan, that I know of. It can be hard to get a hlod of, and expensive, since everyone and their grandma wants some.

There were 5 models in Japan available: Xi, Si, SiR, SiR S-spec, Type-S.

The red carpet you are looking for was ONLY available on the SiR. PERIOD.

I honestly don't want to contribute to this guys yellow interior idea, which is pure yuck.

But...

If you want a yellow interior, you have to order the tan interior color carpet (which is either a USDM or EDM color available with the ecylptus green pearl 1997-98) and then send it off to get dyed by a professional dyer to the color you want. Myself and jwflipa know that this can be done because we took floormats from said color and dyed them red to properly fit our LHD red-carpet interiors.

Did they come out well? How are you satisfied?

Any parts left questionable?

Hmmmm, sounds like not a bad idea, since the only stock red mats are for RHD cars, hahahahaha.

Because it will look like Big Bird's colon.

I applaud you for trying to be original, but this is not the correct route. Stick with the black interior and just maybe add some yellow bits. ie, radio/climate control area, gauge cluster, door panel button trim, etc.

Like this, but yellow:

Don't listen to a damn thing anyone on here is saying. You do to your car what you want to do, and don't stop till your car looks like this:

Well not everyone is going to like whatever you like, so you've encountered honest opinions

If you want custom mats: GGBailey Custom Auto Car Mats - Automobile Floor Mats

Much better than dyeing or whatnot.
