Perhaps take the car to the rolling road? then you'll know exactly how much power its making.

Sorry to hear it . . . reading this made me hug my Lude this morning . . . OK, I didn't really, but I thought about it . . . .

I know it stinks to know her days are numbered, but does anyone know from experience whether any additives on the market are known to truly help with restoring compression?

Haha. No doubt, Simon. My mom is afraid to get in my car. She sucks at driving. She goes like 10 mph under the speed limit and avoids freeways like the plague.

You need to do a leakdown test before you give up. You could just need a valve adjustment. You don't know for sure what is causing bad compression until you leakdown.

i adjusted my valves first. then i did the comp test. when i added a tablespoon of oil to each cylinder, the compression evened out all across the board so its the rings.
