OK HERE IS THE CHASSIS CODES

JDM 97-01
Xi & Si 2ws is BB5
Si 4ws is BB7
SiR, SiR S Spec, S Type are all BB6 (SiR= Base USDM &
SiR S Spec = Type SH USDM, & S Type has no USDM counterpart)
SiR 4ws is BB8

5 Speed Man. is standard on all
4 Speed Auto is an option on Xi, Si, & SiR

Xi= F22b SOHC
Si= F22b DOHC
SiR, SiR S Spec, & S Type= H22A

I think my source is wrong on the Xi & Si models being included in this 5th gen spec sheet as those I believe where only available on the 4th gen models

Let me know if that helps you any. If it dose not then look at the vin number. Inside that long list of numbers will tell you BB then the number you are looking for If USDM its BB6

no that's right. Xi and Si are available in Europe. They even come with 15" rims instead of 16".

whats your source for that mugenlude?
Not calling BS, just would like to read what you're citing.

Here's what I KNOW to be true.

97-01 BB6 - US and JDM - most models
97-01 BB8 = 4ws models not offered in US

Never heard of BB5/BB7 until above.

Mine is a BB8. I think there is also a BB9 somewhere.

I think the JDM SiR S Spec is the JDM Type S minus the ATTS (maybe with an LSD, not sure on this though), therefore, the JDM SiR S Spec is 220 hp, NOT equal to USDM Type SH.

Correct. SiR Spec is no USDM SH. SiR Spec if you think of it in terms of performans is better than the Type S. Were talking 220HP and LSD. I think just some of the luxuries are taken away from the SiR Spec. And by no means is it a Type SH. I wish we had it.

Type S = ATTS + Climate Control + 220 HP
SiR S Spec = LSD + DVD Navigation + 220 HP

there is no BB5... the Xi is the BB9 (JDM, EDM) and its powered by the F20A, not the F22B...
