Power window failure '97 Prelude, what is the cause?

The power window on the driver side does not work anymore. The passenger side still works, from both control panels. I already checked the power window fuse, its ok. Even replaced it with the spare fuse, just to make sure the fuse is not the problem.

When i press the window switch and release it really fast, I hear a click about half a second after I released the button. The click comes from the window control console itself. This may give a clue to what the cause of the problem is.

What could be the problem? Is it the power window motor, the power window relay or the window switch? Or something else? Does this ring a bell to anyone?

Thanks in advance!

(It is a '97 Prelude, European model)

That is a good suggestion, at lunchbreak I will try to check if it sticks somewhere! It does not stick due to frost, that's for sure. It is between 10 and 20 degrees Celcius here the last two weeks
