Please Help Anyone!!!

Earliar today I put some engine degreaser on my car and then washed it off just as the can instructed...then I was driving down the high way and exited and all of the sudden my check engine light comes on and my car starts to sound really weird...like a blurbling v8 and the throttle becomes jumpy and wont accelerate and seems like it would about to die and then it would get power and so on. If anyone knows what the problem is...please help. Its really freaking me out. Thank you.

if you sprayed the engine off you could have a cracked distribitor cap. if that is it, it should clear up in a day.

It seems like it is getting worse...it is very jerky in the lower rmp's...until about 4000 or 5000. What is a distributer cap...how do i fix it...do i have to get a new one? Thank you so much for any help.

heres a pic of where its at but leave it alone GO TO HONDA if you donot know where this is at you should not be messing around in you engine bay AT ALL. You will cause more damage than you allready have. Take it to honda and have peice of mind. I could change the clutch on my lude or work on the transmission, but do I?? HELL NO i let them do it, it might save you a little money to do it your self but its better to let them to it and get a warrenty with service and parts.

Phew! I fixed the problem...it seems that two of the spark plugs had poped up and needed to be pushed back down. Has anyone else had this problem...is it common with preludes...what could have caused this?

I think he was trying to say that the wire connected to the plug pops up instead of the plug itself. LOL
