Piston Damage
swapped a h23a in my '99 Prelude. Found out I had a dead number one cylender: leak down test proved that I had a leak in my intake valve.
Sent the head to get serviced. None of my valves were bent, I just had metal shavings keeping the valve from closing all the way. The metal shavings came from the top of the cylinder. The picture shows where the metal shavings came from. (shiny silver part near 'IN.')
Question: Should I some how grind/smooth the top of the piston head and then remount the head? If so, what kind of sand paper should I use? Or am I screwed and should replace the sucker?
I know cheap isn't the right way to go but I'm leaning on the shaving down part.....
