looked at bunch of resources online and many places say only in USA Honda oem oil filters are made by Fram. Basically Canada, Europe and Japan it's not Fram.

^Even though the Canadian filters aren't made by Fram they still are worse than the USDM ones. The company makes the FOR Honda, they have no say so in what materials are used or how they are made, I'm going to cut one open and find out just what they are like. I highly doubt that they are the same low quality as a standard Fram filter, even the older versions that were on the page I posted were of higher quality, can't see why they would make something worse with a superseding part.

Of all the times I have looked inside at work they have metal internals, NOT cardboard like a Fram and the filter medium isn't that cheap type that falls apart as you touch it,

^ werd, I would be surprised if Fram doesn't boost up their quality when it comes to making things for Honda. I'm sure the quality is superb.

Nope, they are cheap junk in just about every application.

Thanks, I actually did search though. I was just stating how surprised I was to learn that such a well known brand was crap.

No one mentioned to the OP that the H22 motor uses oil. Since he is about to go on a long trip I recommend that he have 2 qts on hand just in case...(especially if hitting VTEC often). I have been running an S2000 oil filter (15400-PCX-004) & Mobil 1 0W30 for over 30,000mi., and I change it every 5-6000mi. Since I add ~ 5qts during this time, I probably could just change the filter only.

^Mine doesn't use oil, only those with high mileage or get beat on pretty bad will, which in most cases is normal.
