how many people painted their entire car over again when they got their kits/lips? or just painted the lip/kit alone? does the paint look exactly the same if you just paint the kit/lip alone? thanks.
If you have a factory paint color you should be able to go with just painting the kit because the paint is a perfect match. Only issue is if your paint has faded, which usually shows up on red cars the worst. I have 105k miles whith white diamond pearl. My paint hasn't faded at all, but I'm painting the entire car regardless since I have a few minor rust spots here and there.

painting the whole car might be pricey, but then paint the kit may be cheaper, maby u can talk your bodyman into blending ur kit into ur OEM paint for a middle price.
I think it it also depends on what people's goal for their car is(and you too). Do you want to keep the same color or no? My car's faded red in some areas so Im going to repaint it entirely including the engine bay and door jams.
I think it depends on where you take it. A good shop will fade the paint on the lip kit as it goes toward your car to make a transition that isn't noticable.
cant u just repaint over ur exsisting paint for less money. so the paint is the same color and consistancy but u dont have to pay 3k for striping and whole new paintjob?

unless a car has been repainted a few times there is no reason to strip off the old finish completly. Then they would have to restore the corrosion protection and more than likely it won't be as good as the factory corrosion protection. So they will sand the factory finish and paint over it.
