Which One First?

Ok so this has been on my mind for awhile...

I dont know what to do first. Buy the rims and tires to the specs you want and then lower the car accordingly

OR

Lower the car ex amount of inches and buy some rims and tires to those specs, if that makes sense?

I guess if you have coilovers or something that can adjust the height, it probably doesnt matter? Can you guys enlighten me please haha

EDIT: While were on the topic of suspensions, Koni/GC good for a daily driver setup? I probably will never take it to the track. Ive done some research but what do you guys think. Price range is like $600 or less, so im thinking of going used.

Why don't you just wait till you have money for both?

But if you can't wait to do that, I would work on suspension first. Just my 2 cents.

I had after-market wheels for a while on stock height, and it really looks funky unless it's something of stock size/look.

Here are a couple. Car looks like this at the moment, minus mudflaps and front tint (illegal in canada :P) After looking at it, I dont think it is lowered, way too much finger gap.

Buying both at the same time seems most logical and i should of realised this earlier haha. I should also point out, im not even close to ready to buying anything, just wanna make sure I get all of my research done

Stock with some fancy 16" aftermarket rims. Start with the suspension first but I wouldn't get used.

Hahaha they came that way. I haven't done much yet, but got a few plans. The only major thing I have done so far is new headlights (had crap halo lights before) and the whole front end has been re painted. Next up is the finishing the back end and a 5 speed swap

Not even stuff with low mileage on them?

Suspension is a safety thing for me so I got new and got the one year warrenty with Function & Form. BTW my Type 1s were $600 shipped but may be too stiff for you and too low for Canadas snow.

Lower it first.

It will look better lowered, even if you have stock wheels or if you keep the 16" aftermarket wheels you already have.

I have KYC coilovers all the way around and I am happy with them except for the fact that they aren't adjustable.I am also lowered about 2" with 17" rims.

Yeah I plan on upgrading to 17's in one point in time, so I want something with adjustability.
