oil seep

My engine is seeping oil primarily from the left side of the head and it seems like its been happening for a long time because there is black gunk all the way to the bottom of the engine. They have told me that all Hondas do that blah blah blah and i didnt buy it. Do I need a new headgasket or valve cover gasket?

Good, don't believe that, because it is wrong(as you already know.

You need to trace back as well as you can to EXACTLY where the leak is coming from. Spending money on any gaskets whether you replace them or not is not a good idea until you know exactly what you're fixing.

Yea.. its mostly on the left and like the back part where the head meets the block and its very visible. What is the worse case scenario for oil seepage? I heard loss of compression... Your oil will leak into other places and contaminate and all this other kind of stuff. Should I fix it asap

You can attach a picture a number of ways. you could upload a picture to photobucket (or any online photo album place) and copy the 'direct link' given for that image and "insert image" by using the insert image button above the reply box(the yellow mountain looking one)

or

Under your reply box there is a "Manage Attachments" button, you can then search your computer to upload an image.
