Oil cooler installed pictures

Can anyone tell me where's that post from a fellow member that showed where he mounted his oil cooler and lines?

I am trying to see how he routed his oil lines.

Thank you.

What happened to my previous posting about my oil cooler? It seems to have been deleted.

Pics can be found at:

Anyways, here's the pics of the oil cooler install once again:

Cooler

Thanks! Very helpful.

What is that "rolling pin" looking thing that mounts to the metal bumper that you removed in order to fit the cooler?

I am assuming that can be removed.

It's a vibration dampening unit.

Basically a 15lbs weight at the front of the car.

Many people here have removed theirs without any effect. I'll had it off for a LONG time now and never noticed a difference.

I have an oil cooler because I do lapping and Solo 1 events. Both activities get the car up to very high temperatures. The oil cooler helps to keep the oil temperature down. But, it's not really a mod worth the money if it is used just for street driving.

That is a C&R radiator. Available at http://www.crracing.com. The unit comes with the 14" slim fan.

Ok, so it's not really worth it for the street. Is it much easier to do an oil change? The stock filter location isn't much fun to get at.........

do you have a part number for that radiator and size wise is it thicker or thinner than stock? Does it use the stock radiator hose? How about the mounting of the radiator? Did you need to make custome brackets? Sorry for all the questions. I'm looking for a good radiator to use with my new Turbo set up.

Easier to do an oil change for sure, but the cost is around $500 by the time you assemble all of the components of the cooler.

That's a lot of oil changes!

It is thicker than stock by almost twice as much.

The part # from C&R is 4010819700 and is 489.95 in the online store.

You keep the stock radiator hose and the mounts are the same as the stock rad.

It is a good rediator and would definetly work well with your turbo setup.
