OEM Spoiler question

I'm interested in buying a used OEM spoiler, but the seller doesn't know anything about heavy duty shocks to keep the trunk up from the extra weight of the spoiler when the trunk is open. When I read the despcription of the spoiler on handaparts.com it mentions the shocks. Do you need the heavy duty shocks that come with the OEM spoiler? If so, what do they cost if boughten seperately?

yea...if you buy the OEM spolier, it comes with the kit. You need this so when the trunk is up it wont fall down.

i put the oem spoiler on my base without the "shocks/springs" when the car is level the trunk stays open by itself, it doesnt fall down on your head or anything, but it doesn't lift itself open when you flip the trunk release, but if they are only like 20-30 then i would totally do it, might still do it, but i alsoi heard that you need a special tool to install those springs/shocks.... but not sure.
