Odometer stopped working??

hi. my 99' base 5 speed lude's odometer stopped working yesterday. has anyone else had this problem? i will probably tear into it tomorrow. hopefully it is just something simple. if anyone has one for sale. i posted a WTB in the classifieds.

did u try resetting the trip odo? my odometer stopped on my 94 accord before.. and i pushed the trip thing and the odo became unstuck....

did any of the screws in back come loose? Check those maybe

I think if your odo dies, you need to replace that entire cluster, which goes for around $200. I could be wrong though.

if you really need to replace it, you will only need to replace half the cluster, the cluster is split into two halves

Thats what I'm saying. You'd have to replace the Fuel/MPH cluster. One of them is $180, the other is $220 or so I believe. I can't remember exactly.

hey rog, I have the other one.... but lemme look @ yours first... should be a simple fix. I think the screw backed out on the odo. that's easy. or the button got misaligned somehow and stopped the 'clock'.

yep, i tore it apart this evening. somehow the plunger thingy to reset the trip odometer was misalinged (probably from the rough ****ty roads in dayton). i moved it. everything now works
