obdII to obd I

I'm looking to start working on my lude this winter i have an auto ss tranny stock motor, headers, exhaust ,intake. looking to switch over to a 5spd tranny. I have a few questions for u luders out there. I have been hearing out there that obdI is the best way to go if i want to add turbo mods how true is that statement . If so how would i go about working on my h22a4 also what 5 spd tranny would be the best with turbo application. i heard of some instances of guys using acccord trannys which
would a better set up stock prelude tranny 5th gen or an accord tranny. i know there maybe a few misconceptions i may have about what i understood but please share with me some of ya'lls expirences and reliable set ups. I'm also keeping in mind that i would like to keep the cars ability to pass PA inspection. thanks
