Get a P28 or P72 with an OBDII -> OBDI conversion harness and your set

those chips are worthless, get a p72 if you want the butterfly valve in your intake manifold to work, I would go obd1 but youll have trouble getting an inspection sticker since it wont link up the the inspection computer

You should be able to find one on a local car forum or someone at an import shop should be able to get their hands on them for u quite easily.. Around here the go for $50-100 ..I got mine for 50.. make sure its a virgin ecu (never been opened or chipped) and then have your shop chip it and tune it for ya... If u have emissions where u live...well get a p.o. box where they dont have em haha

the base maps are different from the p72 to the p13. int he end you are better off with a p72 or an aftermarket ecu replacement(aem, greddy, motec....etc.) if you are chipping with a hondata just know that you can only have one set tune/map at a time.(this may be fine for you depending on what your setup is and what you intentions are for the car)

the injectors are not bigger, they are just a diffferent type. the 5th gen injectors are saturated type and the 4th gen /jdm injectors are peak and hold.

I'd just use the p5m just change the immobilizer chip from your auto to a manual p5m. (in my opinion)

late reply i know....but looking at doing the same thing for my 98 base - just want to confirm if anyone can help, looking to get an OBD1 P72 Virgin, and ship to JDM**** for Mugen chip/tune w/ OBD2->OBD1 conversion harness - car is already registered at a drop location in northern WI (no emissions)......anyone who's done this can you confirm my train of thought is correct - anyone see a problem? Any help/feedback would be much appreciated before I shell out the $$ and find out it won't work. Thanks!
