O2 sensors

are there O2 sensors anywhere in the air intake of a euro spec 5th gen?

engine shots can be found at http://community.webshots.com/user/nuromancr

the reason i ask this is because i'm going to have to swap between aftermarket and stock intake since they are not legal here. could happen often, could happen rarely... when i present the car (with the stock) the check engine light must be off.

if it has o2 sensors will swapping be a pain? can u install a switch thatll disable a check engine light if this is what needs to be done?

Don't think there are any sensors on the intake besides TPS and MAF in the TB

Are you talking about intake manifold?

You shouldn't get a check engine light if you install the euro spec intake manifold. Well,, if the ecu sees a big enough change it will throw a code, but it wont be from the O2 sensor, it has nothing to do with it. As long as the EGR is installed on the manifold, along with the basic sensors like the IAT, and the IAC valve.

Breaking the codes...

TPS - Throttle Position Sensor
MAP - Manifold Air Pressure
TB - Throttle Body
IAT - Intake Air Temperature
IAC - Idle Air Control

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the intake and not an intake manifold.

There are no sensors on the intake that you need to worry about, it's just a tube with an air filter box on the end. I wouldn't bother putting the resonator and butterfly valve back in, since I'm sure they're not going to check that anyway and it wont affect emmisions.
