Hello,
I thinking about upgrading my brake system and was wondering if anyone has a picture of it on 5th ludes with stock wheels....Thanks in advance.....Oh almost forgot. Is it a direct fitment?
Getting all the parts is going to cost $600 or more. Rotora BBK is about $1500. The only thing about the Rotora is wheel fitment. That's the ONLY that is preventing me from buying it. Anyone would suggest other brake upgrade? THanks
I did the GS calipers on my last 5g. All I needed were the calipers. The caliper brackets on the GS are the same as the 5g, and instead of running the GS rotor, i just took some old brake pads, and used the metal backing as shims. Worked fine for me for autox and track days.
Cost me about 250 bucks.

you don't need the NSX brackets. Reuse the Prelude brackets, swap in the NSX caliper, get the GS rotors.
Assuming you need new rotors and pads anyways, all you're doing is buying calipers.
You do realize that going with the NSX calipers is only a small step up from stock? I remember reading posts on here from a few years back when that upgrade was popular and most guys barely noticed the difference. Upgrading pads and replacing rotors and fluid is what made the most noticeable difference. If you really want a BBK, the Baer kit is only ~$700. The calipers sit farther away from the rotor hub where the spokes of most wheels are more "open" so they fit without spacers on most 17" wheels.
Any BBK is going to give you more heat capacity and fade resistance but the only way to decrease your stopping distance is better pads and better tires (kind of a simplification but thats the bottom line, really). Most people don't realize this. A BBK will not make your car stop 25ft shorter from 70mph unless your brakes needed redone in the first place. Check out the racing forum here. Almost nobody uses a BBK. Some of the guys with dedicated track cars are just starting to upgrade to stock-sized 2-piece rotors and small aftermarket calipers to cut weight and gain a little fade resistance but that's it.
To be honest, I really want the NSX caliper or BBK for LOOKS. I'm planning to autoX soon, so it'll be a good time to plan ahead. I've been searching, but can't find the NSX calipers on 5th Gen with stock SH or Base wheels. Thanks for all the input.
Nice. Thx for the link man. I win? I was not trying to argue with you. It was a question, I do not know much about these things. (I wasnt trying to be sarcastic or ne thing). N e ways, thx for your help man.

If I had built a my H22 into a 400HP ball-bearing turbo terror I'd probably go with the best set of floating 4-piston calipers I could find-- AND high temp aftermarket pads and fluid.
Unless you have that kind of power, it doesn't make sense. The car just doesn't need it, especially for auto-x because it will only add more rolling weight and neccesitate larger 17 or 18 inch rims that are most definitely going to be about 17lbs each or more. Stock rims are 17-19.6lbs. Getting lighter wheels, such as RX-7 FD 16x8 15lb rims or 10-12lb 16-inch or even 15-inch Rotas will be a better investment.
On some other completely different car, like an RX-7, this would make sense... MAYBE. Not on a Prelude.
Different cars, different ways to create an advantage. I guess show cars never made sense to me unless they actually GO all that they SHOW
Talk to Billy, James, or anyone else who seriously tracks and you'll find that all they recommend are some nice pads and cheap blanks.
I think Billy said he has the Legend retrofit, but noticed little difference. Even though they are two piston, the total area between both pistons is about the same as our factory caliper pistons. Thus, they have little to no increase in performance, especially for the money you spend.
I wanted to do the swap to and then I began reading and discussing it with Billy etc, and realized that it was a waste of money.
KahnBB6, to answer your sig, because Honda developed ATTS
